The WhiskyCast Tasting Panel is your place to test your nosing skills. Each month, we bring together a panel of listeners to taste and score whiskies. You generally won’t find the ultra-rare exclusive bottlings here…we focus on whiskies that you’re most likely to find at your local pub or retailer. If you’re interested in being on the tasting panel for an upcoming episode, just use our contact form to get in touch!
There may not be a “White Christmas” in many parts of the world this month, but we’ll have one on this episode of WhiskyCast Virtual Tastings. Our panel of Simon Seaton, Kevin Andresen, and Jeff Stuebben tasted three “white” whiskies: Buffalo Trace’s Wheated Mash White Dog, Culpeper Distillery’s Original Moonshine, and Canada’s White Owl whisky.

This month’s panel of Rob Mark, Jill-Ann Stolley Vick, Christopher Winters, and Lex Tomaszewski spent some time pondering a variety of whiskies: the Ardmore Traditional single malt, The Famous Grouse blended Scotch, and Blanton’s Bourbon, and you may be surprised with the results.

This month, we’re tasting Bourbons! Our panel of Tim Davis, Sean Foushee, and Scott Rogers taste Jim Beam Black, the Russell’s Reserve 10-year-old from Wild Turkey, and Woodford Reserve.

This time around, we’re on location at Whisky Live Paris thanks to our friends at La Maison du Whisky. Our tasting panel has a Dutch flair, as Bob Wenting, Teun Van Wel, and Nol Willems taste the Aberlour 12-year-old non-chill-filtered Speyside single malt, Benromach’s cask-strength 2001 expression, the Nikka Yoichi 15-year-old from Japan, and a “mystery whisky”.

Welcome to the debut of WhiskyCast Virtual Tastings. Each month, our volunteer tasting panel will sample three whiskies from around the world and offer their own personal tasting notes. This month, our panel of Bill Ricker, Shelly Brisbin, Jeff Steubben, and Angelo Veneziano taste the An Cnoc 12 from Scotland, the Powers Gold Label 12 from Ireland, and a “mystery whisky” that will be revealed at the end of the show!
