This week's WhiskyCast looks at the anniversary of one of the saddest years in recent whisky history. 1983 was the year Distillers Company Ltd. closed many legendary Scotch Whisky distilleries, including Rosebank, Port Ellen, and more. This year, Gordon & MacPhail is updating its "Rare Old" range with several whiskies from distilleries lost in 1983...and Michael Urquhart will discuss that sad time with me on this week's episode.
Each month, I randomly select one of the listeners who's registered at the WhiskyCast web site to receive a free print from the WhiskyCast Photo Gallery. Should have done this a couple of weeks ago, but I've picked April's winner...congratulations to Marcin Kwasek of Poland! He'll be receiving a print from the Gallery, and I'll select another winner for May at the end of the month.
