Wild Turkey Forgiven

Country: USA

Region: Kentucky

Type: Blended Whiskey

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 45.5%

Score: 92 Points

Wild Turkey Forgiven. Image courtesy Wild Turkey/Campari.This whiskey was created by accident when Wild Turkey workers made a mistake and pumped Rye whiskey into the same vat as a batch of Bourbon, but the end result is excellent, rich, and smooth.

The nose has a great oakiness, along with notes of vanilla, honey, caramel, and molasses. The taste is spicy and powerful, but still complex with cinnamon, black pepper, honey, vanilla, oak, and dark chocolate notes. The finish is smooth with a good spicy touch of cinnamon and notes of honey and molasses underneath. Outstanding! (September, 2013)
