Usquaebach Old & Rare Blended Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Cobalt Brands. This blend was a staple in Scotland for years until it was taken off the market, only to be revived in the US by Cobalt Brands with blending support from Douglas Laing & Co.

The nose has notes of honey, butterscotch, dried flowers, and vanilla. The taste is full of dark chocolate, clove, cardamom, black pepper, a hint of coffee, and ginger with a good balance. The finish is long and spicy with clove, cardamom, and ginger…very aromatic and rich. (January, 2014)
