The Macallan Sienna. Image courtesy The Macallan. This 1824 Series single malt has a warm nose with touches of blood orange, vanilla, green apples, nice oakiness, and a hint of chocolate, with honey sweetness that opens up with some patience. The taste is fruity and spicy with cinnamon-baked apples, lemon and lime peels, and notes of fig and raisin underneath. Touches of nutmeg and vanilla add balance. The finish is warm and smooth with just a bit of citrusy tartness. (May, 2013)
