The Glenlivet Nàdurra Peated

Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 61.5%

Score: 93 Points

The Glenlivet Nàdurra Peated. Image courtesy The Glenlivet/Chivas Brothers. This isn’t a Glenlivet distilled from peated malt, but one finished in casks previously used for Islay malts. The nose is floral with a gentle smokiness and notes of grilled pineapple, vanilla, honey, and butterscotch. The taste is dry and mouth-puckering at first, followed by soft smoke and an intensely spicy bite of cinnamon and white pepper that fades to reveal vanilla, grilled fruits, and caramel apples. The finish is long with a gentle smokiness. Nice! (January, 2016)
