The Glenlivet Nàdurra Oloroso

Country: Scotland

Region: Speyside

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 48%

Score: 92 Points

The Glenlivet Nàdurra Oloroso. Image courtesy Chivas Brothers. This is the first permanent addition to the Nàdurra range for The Glenlivet since the original Nàdurra was released in 2006, and unlike the original, is matured exclusively in Oloroso Sherry casks.

The nose is fruity with green apples, green grapes, peaches, hints of ginger snap cookies and almonds. The taste is thick and fruity with good spices. Honey, green apples, and ginger dominate at first, followed by a burst of clove and nutmeg spices that fades slowly to reveal touches of figs and raisins that last through the smooth finish along with the softly fading spices. Excellent! (May, 2014)
