Swift Texas Single Malt Whiskey. Photo ©2016, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media. This Texas single malt is matured for a year in ex-Bourbon casks, followed by a year in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose is smooth and fruity with notes of peaches, ginger, allspice, butterscotch, dried flowers, and straw. The taste is tart and fruity with peaches, green apples, ginger, allspice, a touch of lemon zest, dark chocolate, and vanilla. The finish is long, tart, and vibrant. An excellent debut for the team of Amanda and Nick Swift! (July, 2016)
