Scapa Skiren. Image courtesy Chivas Brothers Pernod Ricard. This is the first new release from Scapa since the introduction of the Scapa 16 several years ago, and this no-age-statement single malt is matured exclusively in first-fill American Oak casks.

The nose is fruity with notes of pineapple, grapefruit, and pears, along with honey, dried flowers, and a hint of spice in the background. The taste is rich, buttery, and fruity with notes of peaches, pears, subtle spice, and hints of vanilla and lemon zest. The finish is long, fruity, and light. (August, 2015)
