Royal Brackla 16. Image courtesy John Dewar & Sons. This Highland single malt is finished in first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks, and the nose is warm and inviting with notes of dried fruits, honey, sandalwood, apricot, and baked apples. The taste has a good balance of spices and sweetness with hints of honey, cardamom, marzipan, vanilla, and apricot. The finish is long and smooth with dried fruits, ripe apricot, and hints of figs and honey. Excellent! (October, 2015)
