Royal Brackla 12. Image courtesy John Dewar & Sons. One of the first official distillery releases of Royal Brackla in many years, with a malty nose and hints of lemon zest, coconut, vanilla, banana, and custard. The taste is malty and tart with lemon custard, a touch of linseed oil, white pepper, cooked banana, ginger root, vanilla, and a hint of dried flowers. The finish is tart and lingering with a subtle hint of ginger. Very nice. (October, 2015)
