Redbreast 21 Year Old Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey. Image courtesy Irish Distillers. This is the oldest Single Pot Still whiskey Irish Distillers has released, and includes Midleton casks up to 25 years old to balance out the sherry cask influence on the whiskey.

The nose is creamy, fruity, and rich with notes of mango, orange, apricot, peach, and subtle spices. The taste has a sherry influence that is prominent, but not overwhelming the notes of dried apricots, figs, raisins, and a slightly dry sweetness. With time, fresh peaches come out balanced by subtle touches of clove and nutmeg. The finish is long, smooth, and slightly malty with a touch of honey. Excellent! (January, 2014)
