Lombard Jewels of Scotland Springbank 21. Image courtesy D&M Liquors. This single cask bottling for San Francisco’s D&M Liquors was matured in an ex-Bourbon cask, and the nose is fruity with a hint of briny sand, apples, peaches, pears, butterscotch, and coconut notes. The taste is fruity and thick with black pepper, honey, and butterscotch notes on top of subtle touches of briny sand and driftwood smoke. The finish is lingering with fading pepper, honey, and driftwood smoke. (February, 2014)
