Of course, it’s a tie-in with the revival of the “Dallas” TV series named for the show’s legendary Bourbon-sipping villain played by the late Larry Hagman.

The nose has notes of dark chocolate, caramel, oak, brown sugar, honey, and pipe tobacco. The taste is light at first, then turns spicy and complex with chili powder, black pepper, honey, barbecue sauce, and caramel that gets stronger as the spices fade. It shows promise right up until the finish, which fades away quickly with hints of honey and caramel. (June, 2014)
