Highland Park Sword 1997. Photo © 2013 by Mark Gillespie. This was bottled in 2010 exclusively for sale in Taiwan, but is also available on Orkney at the distillery’s visitors center. The nose has a soft peat smokiness, honey, orange peel, and figs. The taste is very consistent with orange peel, a smokiness that builds nicely, and notes of figs and honey underneath for balance. The finish is smooth, smoky, and lingers well.  (April, 2013)
