Dunphy’s Irish Whiskey

Type: Irish

ABV: 40%

Score: 78 Points

Dunphy's irish Whiskey. Image courtesy Irish Distillers. This little-known Irish Whiskey is produced at Midleton, and marketed primarily in Ireland and several other European countries for mixing in cocktails. The nose has a note of buttered popcorn, a touch of clove, and is grassy and earthy. The taste starts off thin, but clove and cinnamon notes come on strong with a slightly oily and thick mouthfeel. The finish is aromatic and spicy with cinnamon and clove. Consistent and simple. (September, 2013)
