Diggers & Ditch Double Malt Whisky. Image courtesy The New Zealand Whisky Company. This whisky celebrates the New Zealand and Australian soldiers who fought in World War I, and is a blend of single malt from the old Dunedin Distillery in New Zealand and an officially unnamed Australian distillery (believed to be Lark Distillery). It was matured in a combination of ex-Bourbon and French Oak wine casks.

The nose is light and floral with notes of rose petals, sandalwood, coconut, and vanilla. The taste has notes of plums, red grapes, brandy, and a hint of blueberry jam. The finish is dry, short, and slightly astringent. (September, 2015)
