Corsair Triple Smoke American Malt Whiskey. Image courtesy Corsair Artisan Distillery. This is another burst of creativity from Corsair, with malted barley smoked in separate batches using peat, beechwood, and cherry wood.

The nose is very complex with a mild peatiness balanced by subtle touches of black cherries, peaches, pears, vanilla, and hints of roasted nuts. The taste is spicy with cinnamon and cilantro notes, along with honey, pear, vanilla, and cocoa. The finish is long and smooth with sweet notes from the taste fading away smoothly for a nice consistency. (April, 2014)
