While Canadian Whisky has traditionally been referred to as “Rye”, this is the real thing…distilled from 100% rye.

The nose is soft with muted spice notes of ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla, along with touches of almonds and butterscotch. The taste is light at first, but with spices that grow on the palate and come alive with ginger, nutmeg, a touch of clove, and a hint of black pepper. Honey, vanilla, and butterscotch balance out the spices well. The finish lingers with gently fading spices and a nice warming touch. Very nice! (January, 2015)
