Auchroisk 30-Year-Old Single Malt. Image courtesy Diageo. This limited-edition release from 2012 has a nose full of dried apricots, apples, and figs, along with hints of marzipan, allspice, old leather, and a touch of honey. The taste has a thick, oily mouthfeel with a good balance of allspice, black pepper, honey, fresh fruit cobbler, and hints of leather and caramel candy underneath. The finish is long and smooth with consistent flavors from the palate in good balance. Excellent! (June, 2014)
