Auchentoshan 18 Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Image courtesy Auchentoshan. This limited-edition Auchentoshan is matured in ex-Bourbon casks, and the nose is full of vanilla, caramel, nougat, butterscotch candies, a hint of ginger, and a soft oakiness. The taste is spicy with black pepper on top of butterscotch and citrus notes of lemon and mango, along with vanilla and a hint of honey. The finish has the citrusy tartness from the palate that fades to reveal hints of linseed oil, anise, and a lingering mango juiciness. (November, 2015)
