As with almost all of the A’Bunadh releases, the nose is dry and sweet with oak and cinnamon, just a whiff of smoke, licorice and raisin notes. The taste is thick, oily, and powerful with licorice, caramel candy, and a blast of chili powder that fades to reveal plum, raisin, and fig notes underneath in a complex, yet well-balanced palate. The finish is long and dry with notes of plums, raisins, licorice, and dark chocolate. Outstanding! (December, 2013)
